Our Parent Hacks... So far
Before I get into the "Parent Hacks" we have picked up on during our first four months of being parents, let me be honest. We likely have no idea what we are doing and have been winging it since day one. Every time we think we have them both figured out, they change. It's very much a moving target. However, I do think we have learned a few tricks that may help other moms and dads.

Swings! Oh how we love our baby swings. We were fortunate enough to receive two baby swings from our friends and man have they been clutch. If you don’t use a swing and have fussy babies, please do yourself a favor and get one or find a used one on Facebook Marketplace. There’s no need to get a pricey trendy one, save some money and buy used. For us, the swings in combination with Disney+ are the closest thing to a babysitter we have. When I need to get things done around the house, the swings are my go to.

When our girls are having meltdowns or are hungry I will lay them in their swings. I place a blanket on their laps and prop the bottle in their mouth and just let them both sway back and fourth while watching a Disney movie. My girls love this! I’ve even contemplated brining one upstairs for when we have rough nights. I just might be on the look out for a free or gently used third swing.
Now let’s talk about bottle makers! We use the Baby Brezza. Love this thing when we’re both on the go and both working remote while taking care of our two and four month old daughters. Just throw a bottle under the nozzle and press start. The perfect amount of water and formula are made to order. The only flaw to the machine is the dreaded errors when you are out of water, formula, or the damn funnel has to be cleaned out. This always happens when I have a screaming baby in my arms and they are yelling at the top of their lungs that they are hungry. I really wish Brezza would fix this issue with their product. Our advice is to be proactive, which is challenging with newborns, and clean or refill the machine after use.

My third and final hack for this post is the drive through window bassinet. Our bassinets mount to the side of our bed and have zipper windows for easy access in the middle of the night. At 3:00 AM it's much easier to roll over, reach into their bassinet. and plug their screaming hole with a bottle.

I hope you enjoyed my three little hacks and product recommendations from a new mom and a new dad. Do you have a particular baby product you feel makes your parenting life easier? Share it with us in the comments below. We would love any recommendations you may have for us.
